Essential Functions
- Positions and transfers patients as needed for services.
- Provides immobilization devices as required.
- Sets up and operates equipment according to proper techniques using ionizing radiation.
- Ensures radiation protection in compliance with safety standards.
- Wears a radiation monitor badge at all times.
- Maintains a clean work area, facility, and equipment.
- Performs Digital Radiography, Bone Density, CT, Holter Monitor & OP EKG as needed.
- Enters all patient information into CCMSD's EMR system.
- Sends STAT exams to Real Radiology, fills out the patient's information on their website; and scans the results into CCMSD's EMR.
- Makes sure Bone Density, CT, EKG, Holter Monitor, MRI, ultrasound & X-ray exams are billed out through CCMSD's EMR.
- Performs Outpatient EKG's as needed.
- Performs Holter Monitors. Sends the recording via Philips Holter Remote Link.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Keeps department stocked with linen & supplies at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisory Technologist.
Qualifications/Education
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school and meets the requirement for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Must meet the current State of Wyoming licensure requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent patient care skills.
- Professional and discrete manner at all times.
- Ability to work as part of a team and within the areas of "ionizing radiation."
- Possesses a strong grasp of clinical workflow in a hospital setting. Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Diagnostic Experience.
- Computed Tomography Experience.
- Holter Monitor & Electrocardiogram Experience or willing to be trained.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records Program, Outlook and other Microsoft Office Programs preferred.
Hours of Work - Shift Work/On Call
