Radiology Technologist PRN
Belton Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team.
About the role
The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
- Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- (ARRT-R) Radiography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Certificate required.
