About the role
The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations using advanced equipment, ensuring high-quality images while considering patient-specific and age-related needs. They apply clinical judgment for proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient safety, minimizing exposure with ALARA principles.
Responsibilities
- Execute imaging procedures per physician orders.
- Utilize sophisticated imaging technology effectively.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Maintain radiation safety standards to minimize exposure.
- Adhere to clinical protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
- Oregon Radiographer License or Temporary License upon hire.
- New graduates must obtain OBMI temporary license and secure permanent license within six months.
- Achieve national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within six months.
- Hold current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
