Radiology Technologist, OR, Part-Time, Baptist Downtown

About the role

Baptist Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL. This part‑time, day‑shift position (Tuesday‑Thursday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm) involves preparing rooms, positioning patients, and capturing high‑quality diagnostic images that guide clinical decisions. The technologist will work closely with nurses and physicians, operate advanced imaging equipment, and provide safe, accurate, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality radiographic procedures.
• Promote goodwill among co‑workers and other departments; maintain a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
• Report to the Lead Technologist on shift.
• Comply with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Provide care for pediatric patients.
• Identify, prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, in accordance with state, federal, and institutional policies.

Requirements

• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Radiology/Imaging experience (preferred).
• Experience working in a hospital setting (preferred).
• Vocational school education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Licensed Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) – DOH (required) or Registered Technologist in Cardiac‑Interventional Radiography, ARRT (CI) (required) or Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT (required) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) – CCI (preferred).

Schedule

Part‑time, day shift: Tuesday‑Thursday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm.
