Radiology Technologist - Night Shift

About the role

MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology, preparing and executing MRI procedures independently or assisting licensed practitioners. They ensure patient safety, proper identification, and accurate data acquisition while adhering to safety principles like ALARA. Typically performed in a clinical setting, with a focus on safety, excellence, learning, and innovation. The role promotes collaboration and diversity, supporting full healthcare benefits and a positive organizational culture.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and document clinical history with confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate protocols, optimize technical factors, and evaluate image quality.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
• Assist with interventional MRI procedures and support education of students and healthcare staff.
• Select pulse sequences, apply safety principles, and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Verify data transfer, perform post-processing if needed, and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB (with MR certification)
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program; Bachelor’s degree preferred
