About the role

Performs diagnostic and interventional medical radiographic procedures and studies with a thorough understanding of standard radiography and fluoroscopy. Produces high quality exams and procedures and is knowledgeable and proficient with hemodynamic and imaging equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of sterile technique and disposable supplies used during interventional cardiovascular procedures. Accurately assesses patient hemodynamic status and responds appropriately to changes in patient status to ensure positive outcomes. Maintains quality assurance for radiologic safety, equipment, and the development of imaging acquired during cardiovascular procedures performed in the hospital. Cross-trains to assist cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular surgeons in performing non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
• Minimum Experience: 1 - 2 years directly-related experience
• Preferred Experience: 3 - 5 years directly-related experience
• Required Certification: Certified Radiologic Technologist CRT(R)
• Preferred Certification: Not Applicable
• Required License: Certi Radiology Tech CRT(F)
• Preferred License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(R)

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail).
• Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.
