Job Details

• Explains procedures to patient to ensure understanding.
• Provides appropriate educational materials.
• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and assists technologists with preparing patient for exam.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents.
• Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
• May perform limited CT procedures in emergent situations when CT Technologist is not on site.

Requirements

• BLS obtained within 90 of hire
• ARRT-R - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) within six (6) months of hire date or other Radiology licensure required by state or work
