Radiology Technologist
Hourly Wage Estimate: $30.64 - $42.90 per hour. Factors such as skills, experience, and comparison to other employees in this role may determine your actual salary. This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
About the role
Our Radiologic Technologists provide information to diagnose patient illnesses by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs. Prior to each exam, you will prepare patients for radiological procedures through proper positioning and image technique, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. You will maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures, document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, and review each exam for technical accuracy while identifying anatomical orientation on all images. Additionally, you will assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of patient care, and participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Radiological Health Science or graduation from an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensed by the Virginia State Department of Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- One year of experience preferred
