Radiology Technologist

About the role

This role involves producing high-quality diagnostic radiographs, including OR, Fluoro, Dexa, or EOS, under the supervision of the Radiology Director and Manager, to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and accurately, supervising and teaching radiology students.
• Follow safety, infection control, and departmental policies; maintain a safe environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education to stay current with best practices.
• Provide excellent service by respecting patients and colleagues, ensuring confidentiality, and promoting teamwork.
• Accurately use hospital information systems, document procedures, and ensure proper patient identification.
• Deliver age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development stages of patients.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to professional certifications.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Radiology Technology program, registry eligible.
• Preferred two years of experience.
• Must hold BLS and ARRT-R certifications.
• Physical ability to handle strenuous activities and lift over 100 pounds.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to biological hazards and bloodborne pathogens.
