Radiology Technologist - $38-61 per hour

About the role

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in The Dalles, Oregon operates a 49‑bed hospital, medical offices, home health, a birthing center and many services throughout the area. The Dalles offers scenic Columbia River views, local charm and dining options. The position starts ASAP, is ongoing, and is a staff role represented by OFNHP. The Radiology Technologist operates x‑ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by physicians, positions and instructs patients, adjusts equipment settings, and ensures safety during exams.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
• Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
• Prepares equipment for use as needed.
• Prepares examination rooms for patient exams.
• Positions patients for imaging exams.
• Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
• Produces diagnostic images.
• Documents exam information.
• Reports important information to the physician.
• Verifies exams on PACS.
• Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology – Preferred
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT‑R) – Required
• Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License – Required in OR
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy – Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment – Preferred
