Radiology Technician - OR C-ARM

Key Responsibilities

• Operate C-Arm fluoroscopy equipment during orthopaedic surgical procedures, ensuring optimal image quality and proper positioning.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons and OR staff to anticipate imaging needs and adjust equipment accordingly.
• Adhere to all radiation safety protocols, including appropriate shielding and exposure-minimization practices for patients and staff.
• Prepare, inspect, and maintain radiologic equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Assist with patient positioning and support safe transfers as needed.
• Verify patient information and imaging requirements prior to each procedure.
• Document imaging performed and maintain accurate records in accordance with facility standards.
• Support overall OR workflow, including room turnover and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment following all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to remain current with best practices and technology.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required (R.T.(R)). State radiologic technologist license (as applicable).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating a C-Arm in a surgical or interventional setting preferred but not required, preferably orthopaedics.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR protocols.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and assist with patient positioning as needed.

Work Environment

Outpatient orthopaedic surgery center with weekday hours; no nights, weekends, or major holidays (may vary by facility).
