Radiology Technician (Hiring Immediately)

About the role

Provides radiographic procedures adhering to professional and departmental standards to support patient diagnosis and care.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging exams with appropriate techniques, positioning, and protocols to ensure optimal results.
• Assists in training radiography students and communicates effectively with patients for informed consent and procedure explanations.
• Recognizes and addresses clinical or emergent issues to ensure safety and exam quality.
• Accurately identifies and tracks patients and files, maintaining proper documentation within the Radiology Information System.
• Maintains radiation safety standards, uses protective shielding, and ensures patient safety during procedures.
• Prepares and maintains imaging rooms, supplies, and equipment following safety and operational standards.
• Stays current with technological advances through continuing education and participates in departmental initiatives.

Qualifications

Recent hospital radiologic technologist experience preferred. Associate's Degree in a related field required. Licensed in DE with a Delaware State Radiation license and BLS certification.

Skills

• Ability to perform on-call, shift, holiday, and weekend duties.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic health records.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, crisis management, and customer service skills.
