Radiology Technical Assistant (Per Diem)

Summary of the Job

This worker is responsible for assisting with the smooth flow of diagnostic studies in all modalities as needed. Responsible for the safe transport of patients from the units to CT, Ultrasound, MRI and X-ray. Assists with the preparation of patients for exams. Checking patients into Epic when a patient representative is unavailable.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be proficient in filing, telephone etiquette, guest relations and proper body mechanics for patient transport.
• Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.
• The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

• Must possess good physical health.
• Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
• Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
• Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
