Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Operate and maintain digital radiography equipment with competence and care
- Prepare exam rooms, organize supplies, and clean radiographic areas to ensure readiness and safety
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures clearly, and assist other staff members as needed
- Obtain and document clinical information from patients accurately
- Observe patients and equipment during procedures, reporting any unusual occurrences immediately
- Record pertinent patient information in QA logs, electronic systems, and reports
- Serve as a resource to other staff, offering guidance and support as needed
- Assist with outpatient medical assisting duties (e.g., vitals, medical history documentation) when appropriate and after demonstrated competency
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
- One year of experience as a radiographer preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; Licensure by the State of Maryland as a Radiologic Technologist required; Current BLS (CPR) certification in compliance with Meritus Health policy
