Radiology Tech - UIC West

Job Summary

You will obtain x-ray images for patients in the Urgent Injury Clinic. You will be part of a caring team that ensures patients get their questions answered and understand their journey to healing.

About the Role

This position supports the West Des Moines office with hours of operation Monday - Thursday, 10AM - 6PM, Friday, 10AM - 5PM, and rotating Saturdays (with incentive pay) 8AM-12PM.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for their x-ray exam
• Operate the x-ray machine to capture high-quality images
• Review images and make any necessary adjustments before sending them to the physician
• Communicate calmly and provide reassurance to patients
• Listen actively and avoid interrupting patients
• Keep focused and ask for help when needed

Requirements

• Permit to Practice (in Iowa) as a Radiology Technologist
• Active ARRT certification
