About the Role
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by performing diagnostic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Your expertise in operating radiographic equipment will ensure high-quality images are captured while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will be responsible for preparing patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and ensuring they understand the importance of following instructions. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to the overall health outcomes of patients by providing essential diagnostic information.
Responsibilities
- Assist Radiologist during fluoroscopy exams with and without contrast studies, assisting Physicians in surgery and the emergency room, and obtaining routine daily radiographs.
- Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and other radiographic techniques.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Maintain and operate radiologic equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and adhering to safety protocols.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results and any relevant patient information.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss imaging results and assist in patient care planning.
