Radiology Tech - Limited Scope

About the role

Provides health care services, applying radiation energy to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients. Performs diagnostic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed healthcare provider. Exercises professional judgement in the performance of these services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethical principles. Provides appropriate patient care and monitors patient conditions essential for successful completion of any procedure. Care is provided to infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This position may not perform any fluoroscopy exams nor administer any form of contrast media. In addition to imaging duties, helps with registration of patients, and assists with patient procedures such as splinting.

Requirements

• Active Limited Scope License in the State of Utah.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required within 90 day orientation period.
• Previous experience preferred but will consider a new grad or currently enrolled second year student.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the patient and the healthcare team.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and health care team.

Qualifications

• Completion of training in an approved school desired.
• Current enrollment in an approved school as a second year student acceptable.
