Radiology Tech Extender

Position Details Full TimeNight Shift 11pm-7:30amDay shift training to start Location: Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, OH A Brief Overview Provides support and assistance to the Radiologic Technologist in caring for patients and family members during the imaging process, completing clerical/computer duties, lifting/transporting of patients, and following hospital and departmental policies, protocols, and SOPs (including Radiation and MRI safety). What You Will Do Assist the Radiologic Technologist by completing basic patient assessments including verifying patient orders, completing patient questionnaires, patient preparation and instruction. Communication with other members of the health care team to help coordinate patient care.Facilitate patient care including, lifting, transport, chaperone and monitoring of patients.Assist with Radiology computer information and data entry including PAC system.Ensure the adequate availability of procedural supplies to include ordering and stocking patient care supply item.Follow hospital initiative in order to meet patient satisfaction goals.Follow MRI and radiation safety policies and proceduresFollow hospital and department Core Values, SOPs, policies, and standardsRegister and check-in patientsCommunicate with other members of the health care team to help coordinate patient care Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
