Radiology Tech Clinic

$5,000 sign-on bonus.

Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for the production and development of quality radiographs, equipment maintenance, and quality improvement/quality control according to established policies and procedures. May also perform lab functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Instructs patients regarding x-ray procedure.
• Prepares room, equipment, and material as needed for patient procedures.
• Communicates with providers, patients, and support staff as needed.
• Organizes and maintains x-ray supplies and inventory.
• Provides maintenance, QC, and adjustments of radiology equipment.
• Instructs other medical personnel in proper radiological techniques and the maintenance of equipment.
• Maintains film filing system including reports and file retrieval.
• Maintains knowledge of current and new technology.
• Oversees compliance programs and represents clinic Radiology department during surveys/audits.
• May perform lab duties as needed, including venipuncture and collection of specimens through various routes.
• Demonstrates room and equipment cleaning process between patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of radiology.

Skills

• Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions.
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence.
• Knowledge of x-ray safety for patients and personnel.
• Knowledge of proper patient positioning and state radiology regulations.
• Skill in performing quality control and maintaining records.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and technique problems.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• AART Board registered.
• EMR experience (preferred).

Pay

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
