Radiology Tech - Cath Lab, CVT

About the role

Transform Healthcare with a Cath Lab opportunity for ARRT, RCIS, or RCES within a Level 1 Trauma Center in Roanoke, Virginia. Benefits include a sign-on bonus up to $30,000 and relocation allowance. Specialized training is provided to earn RCIS certification.

Responsibilities

• Signs and prepares patients for advanced invasive procedures.
• Assists physicians during procedures, advises on procedural strategies, and plans with physicians on supplies.
• Manages emergency situations, monitors and interprets EKG and hemodynamics during procedures, and operates x-ray equipment.
• Administers medication under the supervision of a licensed physician and performs advanced data manipulation for various databases.
• Participates in providing patient care functions such as transport, sheath removal, closure site care, and contributes to clinical activities.
• Ensures patient, physician, and team needs are met during procedures and serves as a patient advocate.
• Contributes to performance improvement activities and mission of Carilion Clinic.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of Allied Health Profession School (RTR, RT).
• Experience: Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications/Registration: Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, RCIS or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist, RCES or Radiologic Technologist, Registered, RT(R), or Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT or Certified Respiratory Therapist, CRT.
• Life Support: AHS BLS-HCP required, must also successfully complete AHA ACLS within six months of hire date and maintain current status.
• Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamworking skills required.
