Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital featuring a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women’s imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering personalized, professional, and quality patient care.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• Perform all diagnostic x-ray examinations.
• Transport patients to and from Imaging Services.
• Prepare all departmental paperwork.
• Answer the department’s telephone.
• Schedule patients.
• Enter and retrieve patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Maintain the work area in a clean and organized manner.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray Compliance.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: Previous employment as a Radiology Technologist.
• Preferred: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Preferred: Bone Density Scanning Experience.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
