Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all aspects of the NHTI Radiographic Program for students assigned to Concord Hospital.
  • Performs Radiological diagnostic or therapeutic procedures in accordance and within the scope of practice and departmental standards.
  • Affords assessments of pertinent information, prepares and educates patients for procedures and expectations.
  • Completes documentation of patient care and procedure.
  • Utilizes the hospital and departmental information, technology systems, and equipment operations.
  • Communicates with the health care team to provide quality patient care.
  • Maintains a level of productivity, adaptability, flexibility, and timeliness in managing workload and processes.
  • Adheres to department policy and procedures, and practices modality specific safety protocols.
  • Participates in departmental, team, and committee initiatives.
  • Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Registration required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Certification Required: Must satisfy the criteria for a Certified Clinical Supervisor as outlined in the NHTI Radiology Program - Role of the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.
  • Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
  • 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

Certification: Registration required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Certification Required: Must satisfy the criteria for a Certified Clinical Supervisor as outlined in the NHTI Radiology Program - Role of the Clinical Supervisor.

Licensure: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association. Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.

Experience: 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.

Skills

Ability to coordinate clinical activities through supervision and instruction in conjunction with NHTI's didactic learning and ARRT competency requirements.

Ability to comply with guidelines established in the NHTI Clinical Supervisor Handbook.

Ability to educate radiology technical staff through continuing education and activities pertinent to student learning and clinical objectives.

Ability to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and related techniques resulting in the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

Ability to assure service is in compliance with professional standards, as well as state and federal regulatory requirements.

Ability to communicate with the health care team to provide quality patient care.

Ability to maintain a level of productivity, adaptability, flexibility, and timeliness in managing workload and processes.

Ability to adhere to department policy and procedures, and practices modality specific safety protocols.

Ability to actively engage in departmental, team, and committee initiatives.

Ability to complete hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
