About the role

The Radiology Services Research Coordinator III (RSRC III) is a highly skilled role responsible for supporting clinical research by coordinating imaging components of studies that require protocol-specific imaging procedures. The position plays a critical role in maintaining data accuracy, ensuring adherence to imaging requirements and regulatory standards, and supporting the successful execution of research protocols. It provides core support to the department, independently coordinating departmental tasks and special projects as assigned by the manager.

Working collaboratively with clinical research coordinators, study investigators, data managers, radiologists, technologists, sponsors, and imaging core labs, the role ensures adherence to imaging requirements and regulatory standards. The RSRC III independently develops departmental guides and imaging research training materials, continually improves team tasks, process workflows, and efficiencies, and serves as a mentor to less-experienced team members. This is the top level of the Research Services Research Coordinator career path, performing all core support functions with a more complex and comprehensive workload than lower-level coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate imaging components of clinical research studies requiring protocol-specific imaging procedures.
• Maintain data accuracy and ensure adherence to imaging requirements and regulatory standards.
• Support the successful execution of research protocols.
• Independently coordinate departmental tasks and special projects.
• Collaborate with clinical research coordinators, investigators, data managers, radiologists, technologists, sponsors, and imaging core labs.
• Develop departmental guides and imaging research training materials.
• Improve team tasks, process workflows, and efficiencies.
• Mentor less-experienced team members.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Clinical Research, Health Sciences, or a related field is preferred. A High School Diploma or GED with an additional two (2) years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in radiology, research, or a healthcare-related field is required. Five (5) total years of experience with a HS diploma/GED.
• Clinical Research Certification from SOCRA or Clinical Research Certification (CCRC) from ACRP preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, self-manage workload, and maintain productivity under deadlines.
• Analytic skills with initiative to problem-solve and improve processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as PowerCharts.
• Experience using clinical trial management systems (CTMS), such as OnCore.
• Knowledge of radiology systems (e.g., PACS) or other data entry platforms.
• Prior experience working with clinical trials.
• Familiarity with confidentiality requirements and security of subject research data.
• Previous experience in radiology, a medically related field, or demonstrated understanding of medical terminology.
• Prior experience in an oncology setting is a plus.

Pay

Salary range: $22.74 - $34.68 per hour. Salary ranges represent the expected base pay for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
