Duties And Responsibilities
- Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
- Able to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
- Properly screen patients undergoing radiologic procedures for potential adverse pharmaceutical interactions and/or unnecessary pharmaceutical risks prior to procedures.
- Absolutely administer after care to patients undergoing minimally invasive radiologic procedures. This includes proper discharge instructions.
- Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
- Follow the five 5 medication rights and reduce the potential for medication errors.
- Be able to start catheter and IV access as needed for radiologic procedures.
- Access chest ports.
- Demonstrates an ability to assist Radiologist with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
- Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services with in scope of practice.

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Radiology team!
Requirements
Education/Certification: Graduate of an accredited RN program. Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho. Current BLS and PALS certification and renewal as required. Successful completion of ACLS course within 7 months of hire date and renewal as required. Conscious sedation certification with in 60 days of hire.
Experience
1 year ICU/ER preferred or IR procedural in a radiology setting.
Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers. Able to calculate correct doses by applying necessary formulas as needed.
- Mental Capabilities: Ability to problem solve and handle stressful situations.
- Interpersonal: Ability to work well with others.
