Radiology - MRI Tech

About the role

Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in diagnosing disease and injury.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and areas for procedures by positioning and adjusting equipment.
• Operate MRI machines following established protocols.
• Maintain image quality and ensure patient safety through adherence to safety and infection-control standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET, explain procedures, and assess patient tolerance.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and documentation accurately.
• Assist with supplies and ensure department safety protocols are followed.
• Take call if needed.
• Serve diverse age groups and train new staff as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• ARMRIT, ARRT-MR, or ARRT-R certification.
• Ability to perform procedures autonomously.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent patient care.
• Maintain professionalism under stress.
• Stay current with skills and knowledge in radiologic imaging.
