Radiology Manager (Hospital)

About the Role
The Radiology Manager bridges clinical expertise and healthcare administration, overseeing the daily operations, financial performance, and staffing of the medical imaging department (X-Ray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound). This role ensures patient safety, workflow efficiency, and compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement department policies, manage resource allocation, and oversee procurement and maintenance of state-of-the-art imaging equipment.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate a team of radiologic technologists and support staff. Coordinate scheduling to provide comprehensive service.
- Propose and justify annual capital and operating budgets, manage revenue cycles, and ensure cost-effective inventory control.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety guidelines from bodies like The Joint Commission, ACR, and state regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Professional certification such as ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or similar credentialing (e.g., ARDMS) is required.
- 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible clinical/managerial experience.
Qualifications
- An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is the minimum; a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Clinical Radiation Science or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
