Radiology - IR Tech

Role: Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech specializing in Neuro Radiology, responsible for providing diagnostic imaging services in a hospital setting. Responsibilities: Demonstrate proficiency in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and producing high-quality radiologic images. Assist radiologists during procedures, administer oral contrast, and operate all imaging equipment including CR and DR systems. Maintain patient rights, ensure confidentiality, and contribute to department efficiency through clerical duties and equipment maintenance. Participate in hospital performance improvement activities and communicate effectively with medical staff and patients. Qualifications & Skills: Requires BLS certification, NY state licensure, 2+ years of experience, and AART certification. Neurosurgery/neuroscience experience is preferred; VIR certification is a plus. Must demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, compassion, and technical proficiency with HIS, RIS, and PACS systems. Key Duties: Perform diagnostic imaging, support radiology procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort, and adhere to hospital policies. Call rotation and weekend coverage are required.
