Radiology - IR Tech

About the Role

Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist specializing in Neuro Radiology, responsible for providing diagnostic imaging services in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and producing high-quality radiologic images.
• Assist radiologists during procedures and administer oral contrast.
• Operate all imaging equipment including CR and DR systems.
• Maintain patient rights and ensure confidentiality.
• Contribute to department efficiency through clerical duties and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients.
• Perform diagnostic imaging and support radiology procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Adhere to hospital policies.
• Participate in call rotation and weekend coverage.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• New York state licensure.
• 2+ years of experience as an IR Technologist.
• AART certification.
• Neurosurgery/neuroscience experience preferred.
• VIR certification is a plus.
• Technical proficiency with HIS, RIS, and PACS systems.
