Radiology Imaging Tech PRN

Responsibilities

• Performs optimal radiographs for all patient populations by proper positioning and exposure settings.
• Participates in all cross training activities as necessary to function in multi-modality roles.
• Performs all duties to meet patient care needs within the scope of practice.
• Interacts with hospital staff and/or nursing departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in the resolutions.
• Maintains performance skills.
• Routinely works weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and/or on an on-call/call-back status, when needed.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification
• Demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training, and immediate reporting of suspected compliance issues to the Compliance Officer.
• Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT Certification (R)
• Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in the State of Texas (Texas Medical Board).
• Maintain current BLS certification, according to unit specific needs.
• Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
