Responsibilities
- Manage all radiology authorization work queues independently
- Prioritize urgent imaging procedures to mitigate financial risk
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using various systems
- Prepare and complete payer-specific authorization requests, applying relevant guidelines
- Review patient documentation and ensure compliance with payer policies
- Cook with health plans to resolve denied authorization requests
- Provide excellent customer service and follow up with patients regarding coverage issues
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 year of relevant healthcare experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting required
- Experience in prior authorization, financial counseling, billing, or healthcare administration needed
- Familiarity with health insurance and medical policy review is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology essential

- $135,200 – $161,500 annually
