Radiology - Abdominal Physician
About the role
We are seeking a Body/Abdominal Imaging Radiologist interested in an academic career with departmental support and the capability for hybrid reads. We welcome and support physician caregivers from all academic ranks.
About Our Department
We are a department of 100 Radiologists, 28 residents, and 10 fellows, along with approximately 25 research faculty and 5 full-time educators. We provide comprehensive imaging services through a fully integrated health care system in central Massachusetts. We are the primary academic medical center for UMass Chan Medical School. Our department has state-of-the-art imaging equipment and a fully integrated IT infrastructure, including EMR (EPIC), PACS, PS-1, and have been leaders in implementing a wide range of AI algorithms. There are numerous opportunities for individual interests in medical student education, health services, and basic science research, supported by a robust Radiology clinical trials office and image processing core labs. Multiple radiology subspecialties are welcomed.
About Our Division
We are comprised of 14 full-time and part-time faculty, with an additional 1-2 Abdominal/Body Radiology fellows per year. We provide a full range of diagnostic services, including X-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. We collaborate with colleagues in surgery, oncology, medical subspecialties, and primary care. Experience with transplant ultrasound and advanced body MRI is required. Interest in CT colonography and oncologic PET-CT is a plus.
