About the role
The Radiologist Clinical Associate at Cleveland Clinic provides radiological services in Cardiovascular Imaging, including CT and MRI modalities. They create imaging protocols, work with nursing, interpret diagnostic imaging, communicate results, develop treatment plans, contribute to quality efforts, train residents, and troubleshoot during image acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Create imaging protocols for cardiovascular CT and MRI examinations
- Work with nursing to provide care to patients before, during, and after scan acquisition
- Interpret diagnostic imaging and prepare reports of findings
- Communicate examination results or diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, and families
- Develop short-term treatment plans for radiology patients
- Contribute to ongoing quality efforts in the section through formalized peer review and updating of radiology informatics systems
- Provide training to resident and fellow physicians
- Work with technologists in the section to troubleshoot during image acquisition
- Handle weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities and periodic night and weekend hours as needed
- Rotate at Akron General Hospital as needed
- Intermittent telecommuting permitted
Requirements
- MD or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or evidenced by an ECFMG certificate
- Three (3) years of training in diagnostic radiology or radio diagnosis
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio
- Completion of a Fellowship in Cardiovascular CT and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Cardiothoracic Radiology, or Cardiac Imaging
