About the role
Responsible for implementing and enforcing radiation safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Conducts routine inspections, maintains radiation monitoring equipment, and provides technical support to facility staff. Ensures that all activities are conducted in accordance with established safety procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of radiation sources and facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain and calibrate radiation monitoring equipment to ensure accurate readings.
- Provide technical guidance and training to facility staff on radiation safety procedures.
- Document findings from inspections and maintain records of radiation exposure levels.
- Respond to emergency situations involving radiation exposure or contamination.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Radiological Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiation safety or related field.
- Knowledge of radiation protection principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Current certification in Radiation Safety (e.g., ANSI/ASNT C1.1).
- Experience with radiation detection and monitoring equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
Skills
- Proficient in radiation safety software and databases.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Benefits
