As a Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist, you will perform routine x-ray examinations and support other facility needs, ensuring quality clinical care and an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Radiologic Technologist Duties
    • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including escorting patients, providing instructions, and assisting with positioning.
    • Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure care, safety, and comfort during x-ray exams.
    • Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjusting controls for exposure time and distance.
    • Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
    • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
    • Report equipment malfunctions to the Center Operations Director and ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order.
    • Follow documentation procedures and complete required records related to patient x-ray visits.
    • Maintain x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping.
    • Ensure all Radiology workflows are followed and reports correctly cross to the EMR.
  • Medical Assistant Duties
    • Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
    • Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing ancillary testing (e.g., vaccines, injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiograms, respirator fit testing).
    • Perform rapid screening tests (e.g., influenza, strep, mono, glucose).
    • Assist providers during examinations and treatments, including triaging emergent patients.
    • Prepare and assist clinicians with procedure setups and injury care.
    • Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
    • Dispense medications and durable medical equipment (DME) in accordance with state regulations.
    • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment, medical devices, and testing processes.
    • Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
    • Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping.
    • Notify supervisor of equipment malfunctions, supply needs, or facility issues.
    • Assist with patient flow and volume in partnership with center leadership.
    • Keep patients informed of expected wait times during visits.
    • Perform clerical tasks in both front and back offices, including patient check-in/out, record keeping, and documentation.
    • Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, answer phones, and distribute employer results/paperwork.
    • Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
    • Attend center staff meetings or huddles as required.
    • Assist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly facility.
    • Complete applicable training, including monthly clinical competency training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology with applicable state certification.
  • Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with active and valid certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state-specific) preferred.
  • Prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service experience.
