About the Role
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging and accurate documentation standards. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.
Schedule
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with a set 3-week rotation as follows:
- Week 1: Monday – Wednesday
- Week 2: Thursday – Sunday
- Week 3: Thursday – Friday, Monday – Saturday
Responsibilities
- Operate radiographic imaging equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain high-quality imaging and accurate documentation standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with completed required clinical hours.
- State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry or registry eligible; must achieve ARRT registry within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating radiographic imaging equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
