About the role
Seeking a Radiology Technologist (RT) and skilled Medical Assistant (MA) who provides expertise and champions patient care. As a Radiology Tech/Medical Assistant, you will be part of an amazing team that supports each other and values meaningful patient care.
Responsibilities
- Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
- Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts accordingly.
- Collect patient history and document in the EHR appropriately.
- Apply splints, dressings, and bandages.
- Assist with check-in/check-out, including auditing charts.
- Maintain records and logs on activities, including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent to external labs.
- Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
Requirements
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT Certification) required.
- General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT) license in state of residency if required by the state.
- BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
- Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
- Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
- Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
- Within 30 days of employment or promotion, must obtain and maintain state license (if required by the state) for Office Laboratory Assistant.
