Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and equipment for catheterization procedures.
- Selects and modifies technical factors to produce optimum diagnostic results.
- Assists and supports the physician during specialized vascular and neuro radiographic procedures.
- Administers contrast media under direct supervision of a physician.
- Maintains availability on a rotational call schedule for procedures after normal hours.
- Supports the Vascular OR with tech coverage.
- May act as a preceptor and instruct new technologists and students.
Qualifications
- Licenses Required: Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah, ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R) (ARRT), Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Six (6) months of angiography experience, ARRT RT(VI) registration in Vascular Intervention.
