Radiologic Technologist II - Part-time

Job Description

Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.

Makes sure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.

Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.

Ensures high-quality images that meet department standards are produced safely and in a timely manner.

Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.

Absorbs and processes patient information, coordinates patient care, and assists patients during procedures.

Communicates effectively, coordinates staff, and works with people of various diverse backgrounds.

Multi-tasks under stress while dealing with large customer volumes.

Maintains responsibility for all required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic Imaging.

Maintains responsibility for all required continuing and annual education.

Follows basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff.

Performs adult/child/infant CPR.

Performs in two modalities in Diagnostic Imaging.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ER, OR, and Fluoroscopic imaging procedures
• Knowledge of Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors
• Knowledge of Radiographic and Fluoroscopic equipment
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety
• Ability to communicate effectively, coordinate staff, and work with people of various diverse backgrounds
• Ability to multi-task under stress while dealing with large customer volumes
• Good organizational skills
• Experience/knowledge of computers/networking
• Fluent in the English language and able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrates ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn and use radiology software packages
• Maintain responsibility for all required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic Imaging
• Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures
• Responsible to maintain all required continuing and annual education
• Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff
• Adult/and child/infant CPR
• Deemed competent to perform in two modalities in Diagnostic Imaging

• Associate
• Bachelor's

• 1+ year work experience
