About the Role

A Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiological exams using appropriate imaging equipment in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient identity and review medical records.
  • Interview patients to gather medical history and assess risk factors.
  • Explain procedures, side effects, risks, and benefits to patients.
  • Set up equipment and acquire diagnostic images.
  • Review and interpret images, then communicate findings to radiologists.
  • Respond to medical emergencies as needed.
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Educate residents, students, and new staff.
  • May take call or standby shifts as required.

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification in Radiography.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Skills

  • Strong analytical, clinical, and technical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to operate complex imaging equipment.
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
