Radiologic Technologist
About the role
The Radiologic Technologist position at Monmouth Medical Center performs proper radiographic procedures as required by physician orders. They provide patient service using diagnostic, portable, and fluoroscopic equipment, ensuring quality radiographs for proper treatment and diagnosis by physicians.
Responsibilities
- Performs all routine radiographic procedures and views according to the department procedure manual
- Performs and/or assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
- Performs surgical and portable examinations as assigned
- Performs visual checks on equipment and reports findings to appropriate personnel
- Prepares and maintains room and assures emergency supplies are intact
- Participates in the teaching/preparation of patients/families as appropriate and according to age-specific guidelines
- Identifies problems and communicates with immediate supervisor/charge staff, offering solutions as appropriate
- Instructs radiology students according to clinical and didactic requirements
- Adjusts technical factors in proportion to the patient and body part being examined, while minimizing radiation
- Affords assistance in the orientation of department and hospital personnel, as appropriate
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- NJ Radiology license
- ARRT Certification
- BLS through the American Heart Association

- Knowledge of radiographic procedures and techniques
- Ability to operate and maintain diagnostic, portable, and fluoroscopic equipment
