Job Description

Collaborate with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

Exercise professional judgment to provide health care services, which include applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups.

Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers.

Summary

The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the ordering/treating Provider to determine which procedures or views will best assist in accurate diagnoses and treatment.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients and the medical team, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Support clinic operations to keep the center running smoothly.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain patient records.
  • Ensure image quality and send images to radiologists for interpretation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire.
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law).

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement.
  • Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.

Skills

  • Positioning patients properly for the X-ray procedure required.
  • Identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
  • Following infection control and radiological safety procedures.

Pay

Competitive Pay: Hourly Pay: $32.00 – $40.00 (based on experience)

Incentive Bonus: This position offers monthly incentive pay based on performance metrics
