About the Role

A Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing high-quality radiology procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiology exams following established protocols, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain safety standards by monitoring radiation doses and taking appropriate actions if limits are exceeded.
  • Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET, explaining procedures and assessing tolerance.
  • Prepare patients and equipment, position patients correctly, and adjust exposure settings.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and radiation policies to protect patients and staff.
  • Maintain equipment, work area, and documentation for quality and compliance.
  • Screen individuals for safety, manage supplies, and ensure proper patient identification.
  • Contribute to patient satisfaction and serve as a training resource for new team members.

Requirements

  • ARRT-R Radiography Certification required.
  • Preferably 1 year of hospital experience.
  • Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, safety protocols, and patient communication.
  • Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and provide excellent patient care.
  • Competence in emergency response and first aid.
