About the Role
A Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing high-quality radiology procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiology exams following established protocols, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain safety standards by monitoring radiation doses and taking appropriate actions if limits are exceeded.
- Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET, explaining procedures and assessing tolerance.
- Prepare patients and equipment, position patients correctly, and adjust exposure settings.
- Follow infection control, safety, and radiation policies to protect patients and staff.
- Maintain equipment, work area, and documentation for quality and compliance.
- Screen individuals for safety, manage supplies, and ensure proper patient identification.
- Contribute to patient satisfaction and serve as a training resource for new team members.
Requirements
- ARRT-R Radiography Certification required.
- Preferably 1 year of hospital experience.
- Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, safety protocols, and patient communication.
- Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and provide excellent patient care.
- Competence in emergency response and first aid.
