About the Role
The Radiologic Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries and acts as an aide during invasive radiological interventions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Administer contrast agents as required.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and protocols.
- Enter and manage patient data accurately.
- Conduct equipment quality assurance checks.
- Report malfunctions or accidents promptly.
- Provide emergency call coverage as needed.
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
- Follow institutional policies and procedures.
- Contribute to departmental goals through ongoing education, mentorship, and professional development.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current Texas Medical Board license.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification.
