About the Role
Performs radiographic procedures applying ionizing radiation to support patient diagnosis and care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with advanced procedures such as ERCPs, fluoroscopies, OR procedures, lumbar punctures, bronchoscopies, and more, demonstrating technical competency.
- Ensure image quality by checking markers and pertinent information before submission, and document accurately in PACS or EMR systems.
- Maintain patient safety and care, managing workflow, equipment, and communication with patients and families.
- Respond appropriately to emergency codes and stay updated on departmental changes.
- Operate imaging and PACS systems correctly, charge procedures, and ensure proper documentation.
- Promote patient satisfaction by adhering to organizational standards and behaviors.
Requirements
- Certified through an accredited radiology program and registered with ARRT.
- SCRQSA certification (South Carolina) and CPR certification required.
- Night shift availability is required.
Skills
- Proficient in customer service and teamwork.
- Experience with office equipment, computer skills, data entry, PACS, and EMR systems.
This is a non-management role reporting to supervisors. No prior experience is required, with some certifications accepted in lieu of formal requirements.
