Responsibilities
- Fulfills duties of the clinical, lab, and/or classroom instructor.
- Captures and maintains documentation required by clinical sites.
- Maintains positive relationships with clinical sites and preceptors.
- Coordinates and plans clinical site instruction for students.
- Instructs and evaluates students, reporting their academic progress.
- Ensures proper procedures are followed by students during patient interactions.
- Correlates clinical education with didactic education.
- Maintains radiation safety behaviors in the laboratory and clinical settings.
- Utilizes cloud-based tracking systems to monitor student progress.
- Oversees the collection, maintenance, and reporting of all necessary documentation.
- Conducts regular meetings and workshops with clinical site preceptors.
- Maintains expertise and competencies in Radiography through professional development.
- Prepares and maintains course outlines, descriptions, and objectives in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Aids in the periodic review and revision of course materials.
- Aids in program accreditation processes.
- Fulfills institutional policies and procedures.
- Assists in planning and conducting orientations, advisory board meetings, and programmatic events.
- Supports planning and conducting pinning ceremonies.
- Participates in graduation exercises.
- Supports institutional public relations, student registration, and other functions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Radiography from an accredited program.
- Two years of documented clinical experience in Radiography.
- Two years of documented experience providing didactic and clinical supervision.
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
- Reliable transportation to clinical facilities.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Radiography, expected completion within 3 years of hire date.
- Preferred: Documented experience as an instructor in an accredited program.
- Preferred: Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Physical Demands
- Able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours).
- Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds to safely transport and use ancillary aids.
- Able to reach, manipulate, and operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment above shoulder level.
- Able to safely move standard wheelchairs without assistance.
