Job Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

  • Executes basic clinical competence in general radiology including fluoroscopy, in all locations across all patient types.
  • Selects accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.
  • Participates in the Clinical Ladder Program, if implemented, at the individual System hospital/location, meeting and maintaining all Program standards and requirements.
  • Applies knowledge of radiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation protection and physics, radiographic positioning and patient care skills.
  • Adheres to Joint Commission, State, Federal and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
  • Documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
  • Maintains a safe and appropriate work environment.
  • Ensures supplies and inventory in area are maintained.
  • Informs appropriate colleague when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors.
  • Documents and reports related equipment/environmental problems in accordance with policy.
  • Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality.
  • Participates in student and employee training and educational activities.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Work Experience

  • Required: Associate degree, or Certificate, in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
  • Required: 2+ years Registered with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Required: Licensed Radiographer - State of MD.
