About the role
Performs radiographic procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist, handling designated areas or procedures with independent judgment.
Responsibilities
- Operates imaging equipment and processes media
- Troubleshoots equipment and procedural issues
- Performs basic nursing care
- Handles departmental clerical tasks
- Ensures patient rights and promotes a safe environment
- Participates in Performance Improvement activities
- Assists with orientation and supervision of new staff and students
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s degree preferred)
- New Mexico Radiography Technologist license or temporary license
- ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred; one-year period to obtain if not already certified
Skills
- Knowledge of radiography procedures and equipment operation
