Responsibilities
- Configures and operates RF test equipment to capture RF emissions from microelectronic devices for analysis.
- Implements signal filtering and amplification for optimal signal collection.
- Develops custom digital signal processing techniques in software and hardware (FPGA).
- Studies cyber-physical threats to embedded systems published in scientific journals and presented at conferences.
- Documents findings in technical reports and presentations.
- Develops whitepapers and presentations to communicate research findings.
- Contributes to proposals for new research in similar and/or related technology areas.
- Provides technical mentorship to junior researchers supporting your programs.
- Works collaboratively with customers, multi-disciplinary research partners and Riverside Research business, engineering, and technology teams on complex research and development projects.
Qualifications
- Secret clearance required to start, but must be able to obtain Top Secret security clearance and all required program access approvals.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Electrical Engineering or related technical area with 5+ years relevant experience, or a related technical Master’s degree with 3+ years relevant experience, or a PhD in a related field.
- Strong understanding of signal processing theory.
- Software programming experience using either Python, C, or equivalent language.
- Experience with embedded hardware (VHDL, Verilog) and software (C, Assembly).
