About the role

Nightwing is seeking an experienced and cleared Radio Communications Specialist in support of USG in the Springfield area. The right candidate will provide Senior level Program Management, Administrative, and Engineering Support for our Customer communications-based projects in the Springfield area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and engineering support for Sponsor tactical communications projects and design including ICOM/Motorola/Harris equipment and its use.
  • Direct experience with Sponsor systems including BASIS, GENESIS, approval memos and message preparation.
  • Understand and respond to customers comprehensive tactical requirements.
  • Explain technical procedures and processes and results of site surveys clearly and accurately.
  • Comprehend and respond to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Able to adhere to security and safety standards, counterintelligence and applicable communications policies and procedures.
  • Work independently to perform specialized equipment and system installations, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Test, identify, and resolve most tier 1 and tier 2 equipment and system problems.
  • Perform extended TDYs in dangerous/hostile environments.
  • Be medically and administratively cleared for travel.
  • Successfully qualify for weapons training.
  • Occasional travel within WMA Required.

Qualifications

  • Up to 50% travel OCONUS including hazard areas, and 10% travel CONUS, as required and based on customer needs.
  • Must have TS/SCI security clearance with Poly on day one and be eligible for crossover.

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of procurement processes.
  • Working knowledge of policies and regulations related to the completion of assigned work.
  • Ability to excel independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work at heights and successfully complete Fall Protection training.

Education
