Radiation Therapist - PRN

About the role

This position involves performing daily imaging and delivering prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to patients safely and accurately. The therapist applies technical expertise in equipment operation, clinical treatment setup, anatomical landmarks, and treatment recording, ensuring precise and safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Execute accurate delivery of radiation treatments in accordance with prescribed doses.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA standards.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff.
• Document patient care and treatment details accurately in medical records.
• Assess and report on patients' physical and emotional status to the healthcare team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory.
• Licensure through the appropriate state board is required if practicing in specific regions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations.
