About the role

Radiation Therapist II position available at Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, VA. Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver external beam radiotherapy including (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT)
• Deliver brachytherapy treatments
• Perform patient simulations; prepare equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices
• Review patient records for accuracy
• Act as liaison with physicians and supportive care personnel
• Maintain patient records, reports, and files

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Radiation Therapy
• Must meet 4 out of the following criteria and pass associated competencies:
• Pediatric Center: Age-based competencies
• EBRT/Sim: Clinical Coordinator-RTT Students
• Comp SRS/SBRT: General SRS/SBRT Comps
• Simulation Tech: General Sim Comp, IV
• Treatment Competencies: General EBRT Comp, Advanced Imaging
• Second Licensure (CT, MRI, R): Proof of second licensure
• Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology REQUIRED
• ARRT Certification REQUIRED
